Singularity

Singularity

Singularity is a game developed by Raven Software and published by Activision. You battle your way through Katorga-12, jumping through time, trying to fix your mistakes.
The game starts when an electromagnetic pulse knocks out an American satellite and the U.S military decide to investigate. They send some soldiers, including Captain Nathaniel Renko, but another surge destroys their helicopter.
After the crash, Renko starts going between the present and 1955, which is when a catastrophic accident on Katorga-12 occurs. He arrives in time to save a scientist named Nikolai Demichev from falling into a fire, despite a man warning him not to.
When Renko arrives back in the present, he realizes that Demichev has taken over the world. The rest of the game are missions where you try to prevent that from happening.

My Review

The game play is very much like most of the Call of Duty series, but you can customize your character (Renko) so that he is stronger in some ways and weaker in others. You can also choose which gun you want to improve and upgrade the most, those parts are more like Bioshock and Borderlands. There are some creepy parts where you can see and hear ghosts from the past, and a lot of them are children, which just makes it creepier.
I personally enjoyed the game. It was good because although you were technically going back into the past, it had a futuristic feel. With the TMD, or Time Manipulation Device, it makes it seem more futuristic. It's a good first person shooter game and it has a multiplayer feature, similar to Call of Duty. The graphics were brilliant and made the game better. This game is definitely not family friendly being rated PEGI 18+. It has a lot of blood, guts and gore. Despite that, it's still a brilliant game and I think more people should play it. This is MY personal opinion, if you have anything to say please keep it clean. Or I will shoot you. Jk..... Mostly. Seriously though, what did you think?
