Flashback Friday!

Hey! Happy Halloween to everyone! I hope everyone has a fabulous time this year. Tonight, I dressed up as a skeleton, which was awesome, but my favourite part of tonight was going to the mall and scaring the crap out of a bunch of people. As you all know, Halloween is my ultimate favourite time of year, so that's why I'd like to make the Flashback Friday all about a scary movie; The Ring.

This movie really isn't that old, but it was one of the first I ever watched and one I will never forget. 

Movie Information:

In The Ring, reporter Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts) is intrigued by a story about a cursed videotape and manages to track it down. The video, filled with terrifying imagery and an eerie young girl, curses the viewer. The viewer receives a phone call, warning them they have seven days left to live and ultimately they die. After watching the video herself, Rachel realizes that she needs to solve the mystery of the creepy video before the week is over, if she wants to save herself and her family.

My Review:

When I watched this the first time, I was probably about 8 and it scared me to death! I refused to watch it ever again, until about two years ago. When I watched it the second time, it really wasn't as scary, but it was still pretty creepy. The fact that The Ring is also based around an urban legend, just makes it so much cooler, though I don't think I'll ever have the guts to watch the Japanese version - they are always much scarier. In any case, this movie might not be the best in history, but it's definitely one I would recommend. It doesn't have much gore, but it has a lot of CREEPY, so it's worth the watch!
